If you use this backing pad on electric drill, there are two kind of connecting rod, Dia. of eletric drill clamping bar is same: 8mm, but thread Dia. is not same, there are 10mm(M10) and 14mm(M14), 3, 4 and 5 inch pad must be used with connecting rod M10, 6 and 7 inch pad must be used with connecting rod M14.
If you use this backing pad on polishing machine, then connecting rod is unnecessary, you only need check thread size of your polishing machine, if thread size is same, then this item is suitable to your polishing machine.
